The Event
After purchasing what would become Twin Rivers Ranch in 2001, The Baxter Family dreamed of running their own business and creating a facility where they could operate proper 3-day events through the highest level of the sport.
Connie and Andrea Baxter’s long time 3-Day Eventing backgrounds provided perfect insight on what types of amenities would best suit the ranch for these purposes. Paired with Jeff and Zac Baxter’s expertise, machinery and knowledge through their business Whirlwind Excavating, the family dream became a reality reality and in 2004, Twin Rivers Ranch Horse Trials and International Event was born.
Today Twin Rivers offers three large events per year at the Beginner Novice through Advanced levels, housing over 1200 horses and riders in those shows in addition to offering numerous schooling events.
Thanks to the Baxter Family, riders enjoy the use of all this facility now offers: multiple dressage and jumping sand arenas, eight permanent barns including a 12 stall main barn and new MD Barn with tack and grooming stalls, a full cross country course, 25 covered paddocks with lunging/turnout areas, miles of trails, a newly designed office, wash racks, bathrooms, and houses on the property offered for rent to riders.
